Transforming industry through additive manufacturing

Industry Update is proud to announce that 3DGBIRE has been chosen to receive our Additive Manufacturing Company of the Year award.

Established four years ago by Paul Croft and Alex Mayor, 3DGBIRE was created to assist industry in adopting additive manufacturing, acting as a transformative power for companies working within general engineering, automotive, architecture, aerospace, and medical industries, to name a few. Based in Lancashire and servicing the whole of the UK and Ireland, 3DGBIRE offers sales, expert support, adaptable training, and a broad range of 3D printers, scanners, filaments, spare parts and service plans.

Indeed, 3DGBIRE offers world-leading 3D printing and scanning technologies, which are underpinned by top quality materials and support with training services both on and off site. The company provides a comprehensive service, from implementation and training all the way through to first class aftercare

Since its inception in 2015, 3DGBIRE has witnessed impressive growth, experiencing a highly transformative period over the last 12 months. “We’ve doubled our head count, moved premises, won awards, released new products and taken on new suppliers,” said Peter Cropper, Operations Manager. “We’ve grown the business hugely in all dimensions, but the most important thing is that the whole team is excited and looking forward to working with both existing and new customers over the next 12 months.”

3DGBIRE’s key focus is on assisting all sectors of industry to adopt additive manufacturing, ensuring its customers know how to adapt and integrate it into their existing workflow whilst realising substantial returns on their investment. “We provide customers with a pathway and understanding to help with this. We have business development experts and applications engineers who work with our customers in a consultative way, working on practical projects to identify the best applications for adopting additive manufacturing into their work routines and production processes.

“3D printing and its associated materials are always evolving, so we make it our mission to stay on top of new developments and make them accessible to our customers. Our workshops and training courses can be delivered either at our own premises or at the customer’s location anywhere in the UK or Ireland. It’s all about sharing expertise and delivering the means for industry to make significant returns on investment with additive manufacturing.”

Adopting additive manufacturing boasts tangible benefits for businesses in most industry sectors. “Whether a business is involved with manufacturing bespoke objects, or has mass production lines, there will be opportunities for 3D printing to save time and money,” explained Peter. Indeed, by using additive manufacturing, production processes can become faster and less expensive than many traditional methods. When customers can manufacture the parts they need within much shorter lead times and at hugely reduced unit costs, this naturally results in excellent ROI.

With an impressive array of successes over the last year, 3DGBIRE has a firm foundation on which to build its future plans. “We’ll be continuing to grow our expert workforce and customer training capabilities, as well as expanding our product portfolio to ensure we are able to serve as many industry customers as possible throughout the UK and Ireland,” said Peter. “It’s an honour to receive this Company of the Year award; we work hard at everything we do so it means a lot to be recognised.”
