Innovation in powder processing: ystral showcases high-shear vacuum expansion technology at SOLIDS

Process engineering specialist ystral will be presenting highly efficient solutions for mixing and dispersing powders in liquids at SOLIDS 2026. The international trade fair for powders, granules and bulk material technologies will take place on 18th-19th March in Dortmund/Germany.

ystral designs, engineers and manufactures mixing, dispersing and powder wetting machines as well as process plants that are used worldwide in the chemical, pharmaceutical, paint and coatings, food, household and cosmetics industries and in battery manufacturing. At SOLIDS, the company will present its innovative technology for powder dispersion using high-shear vacuum expansion. “This technology for dispersing powders in liquids offers enormous potential for rationalisation compared to traditional processes – depending on the application, it can save up to 20% of raw materials, up to 90% of process time and an average of 70% of the energy previously required,” says Dr. Hans-Joachim Jacob, Senior Expert Process and Applications at ystral.

At Stand: 4-E37, ystral will be showcasing the YSTRAL Conti-TDS powder wetting and dispersing machine, which works with high-shear vacuum expansion. The machine will be presented as a compact process system with a transparent container, jetstream mixer, and induction lance and control module.
